Yes. I tune and repair both skis and snowboards.
Do you service cross-country skis?
- Skate skis: hot glide wax

How often should I get my gear tuned?
- Full tune: every 4–6 days on snow, or at least once per season
- Waxing: more frequently, especially when bases appear chalky white (dry)
- Tip: wax more often on man‑made snow
Can I stop in when I drop off my gear?
Absolutely. The shoppe is tucked down an alley in Minneapolis—unexpected but fun. Grab stickers or a souvenir mug while you’re here.

Equipment Care
Why do I need to tune my skis or snowboard?
Tuning improves performance, control, and safety by keeping edges sharp, bases smooth, and glide fast.
How do I know if my gear needs tuning?
- Slipping on icy snow
- Difficulty turning
- Sticky bases
- Chalky, dry‑looking edges
Can tuning extend the life of my gear?
Yes. Regular maintenance helps prevent long‑term damage and keeps equipment performing like new.
Do you wax anywhere else?
Yes. I run pop‑up waxing at Utepils Brewery one Saturday in December, January, and February. Watch social media or Utepils’ website for dates.
Special Services
Do you mount and adjust bindings?
Yes. Mounts, safety checks, and adjustments are performed to manufacturer specifications. Boots are required along with a completed shoppe ticket with skier information.
Can you repair major base damage?
Yes—from minor scratches to core shots.
Do you offer custom waxing for specific snow conditions?
Yes. I offer both temperature‑specific and all‑temp wax. If you’re heading on a trip (about 10 days out), I can check the forecast for your destination and dial in the setup.
Logistics & Policies
What do I need to bring when dropping off gear?
- Skis or board(s)
- Snowboards: please remove bindings if possible (mark stance angles with masking tape)
- Bring boots if you need binding adjustments
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. All services are backed by a satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not happy, I’ll make it right.
If I book an appointment, can I bring multiple items?
Yes—bring as much gear as you’d like. No need to book multiple slots. For group trips, one person can gather and drop off everyone’s gear; I’ll itemize payment per set.
How far out can I book appointments?
The booking calendar always shows availability 10 days in advance.
How do the lockers work?
Lockers provide flexible, contactless drop‑off and pickup. Place gear in your assigned locker, scramble the code, and I’ll handle the rest.
Note: skis must be 181cm or shorter to fit. Longer skis require in‑person handoff.
Are you going to upsell me?
No. As a service‑only shoppe, my goal is to make your current gear perform its best—not sell you new gear. I’ll only suggest what’s genuinely best for your setup.
